Why did you join 40TUDE?

"Federico reached out to me about joining 40TUDE in the fall of 2020. I knew about DeKalb Unites from some of my Marketing coursework, and I thought that 40TUDE could be a unique opportunity for me to expand my skills outside of the classroom. Currently, many businesses experience hurdles when bringing their business to an online arena. I hope to help some of them make a smoother transition. Owning and operating a small business is strenuous, and with the operations shifts caused by COVID bring a marketplace online can seem impossible without guidance.

My passion for digital marketing started with helping my hairstylist establish her online business persona. I can remember getting my hair styled for prom and sync her online scheduling calendars. Helping small businesses is what started my love for digital marketing. I hope with 40TUDE to share my enthusiasm with other local businesses."

What is your favorite part about working with the team?

"I recently joined the 40TUDE team. One of the most welcoming aspects of 40TUDE is the team structure. When you can directly work with teammates and get immediate feedback, you can be a more effective team member. There is no waiting for someone else to complete a step or transmit a request before you can move forward. You know what to accomplish, and everyone works towards that unified goal. This skill of continuously building a stronger team is valuable for me as a teammate. My previous experiences in school and the workplace with teamwork have not been this smooth.

I want my ability to communicate value at every level for a business to grow during my time at 40TUDE. For marketers, conveying value is crucial to creating a successful campaign, product, and company. "
